20170621T1300 20170621T1415 America/Chicago A threat intelligence sharing reality-check: How standard interfaces (such as STIX and TAXII) can reduce costs and time.

Representatives of the STIX and TAXII standards development squads will be on hand to present a threat intelligence sharing reality check. The panelists will talk to the clear need for companies and government agencies to gather and share intel relating to new or ongoing cyberattacks in a timely manner to minimize the risk of or avoid entirely the threat of a major breach. What is not clear, however, is why we still don't see a level of technological effort employed given strong, across-the-board support for adopting solutions like STIX and TAXII.

Hear insights and views on:

Why threat intelligence sharing is still a somewhat contentious discussion What the cybersecurity community should be doing to enable solutions like STIX and TAXII to succeed What is inhibiting organizations from adoption of these solutions What cybersecurity vendors are doing to help the effort Why organizations should continue to believe in information sharing and how to disprove contrary theories And how to convert challenges into positive achievements.
