Bio
Professor Clare Sullivan is cyber-law lawyer specializing in digital identity, privacy, and cyber-security. She is a Professor at the Law Center, and a Fellow at the Center on National Security and the Law, at Georgetown University in Washington DC.
Professor Sullivan has a PhD in cyber law and is a Fulbright, and an Endeavour, Scholar. She is the author of internationally published articles on digital identity and cyber security and the book “Digital Identity”, the first legal study of the legal implications of digital identity for individuals, businesses, and government. Professor Sullivan also authored the first report on international trade-based money laundering for the Australian Government, was a legal consultant to the joint UK/US Super Identity project, and in 2016, she was appointed as the consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat regarding implementation of the “legal identity for all” initiative in the 54 Commonwealth countries.
Professor Sullivan is currently involved in a number of international cyber law and security research projects, including the International Cyber Threat Information Sharing project, a U.S. Department of Defense Minerva project to assess the threat posed by Estonian e-Residency to U.S. national and international security, and a project on responsible processing of development data for USAID.
